D1 Motorsports Schedule Latest Customer Results Preston began tinkering with racing as a child when he raced go carts at the local racetrack. In his teen years he moved on to building fast Chevys and drag racing. Today he is still a Chevy enthusiast and enjoys restoring classic cars. His own collection includes Corvettes, a Chevelle and a 55 Chevy. His “need for speed” has now pushed him to pursue the motorsports industry. In the recent years, he has been building engines for not only dirt race cars but also for drag racing and street performance. Over the years Preston has assisted various dirt racing teams with set-up, maintenance and engine assembly. Wanting the ability to utilize more of his own ideas and engine designs, he now heads his own racing team. The D1 DPE stable houses the current 2004/06 updated Warrior Chassis and also a newly added 2006 Warrior chassis with engines built by DPE.
